Publicity Tip : Know your own industry

Publicity Tip : Know your own industry

Journalists are always on the lookout for different industry spokespersons. They don’t want to talk to the same person as every other outlet. So if you know something coming up in your industry, get in touch.

The more often you speak about these issues, the more likely the media are to contact you as a potential spokesperson. Make sure you’re across the latest news in your industry as if a journalist has spoken to you before, they may contact you again to speak about a related topic.
